It all comes together

Hey everyone.
For those of you that have been keeping up with me and this blog, you all know about the Graphic novel I am working on. All my posts have been related to that, as of late, as it is something that is BLOWING MY MIND! I am LOVING this. It is fun.
Recently, I finished the first draft of the script for book 1 of the series. I have asked some friends to read it to give me constructive criticism and I look INCREDIBLY forward to hearing back from everyone. So in the meantime, I have continued to explore the design aspect of this world. Here is a character lineup of a gang of delinquents in the first book.

Today,  I went to an art store and bought supplies so that I can test out if I would like to do the book the OLD SCHOOL way. More on that in the while.

World Design

Yodelei. I've jumped into doing some environmental design as of late, as it is a weak point of mine. So here is a deserted town. I like to start with a map of the area that I am designing, so that I can figure out where my character is going and how I can organize my shots. Then I do some thumbnails of some shots and then jump into the actual finished drawing you see before you. HOORAH!!!

Citizens of New Adams!

So I'm neck deep into this project. I am doing development and design as of now, while I ponder the story and characters. I have a couple more drawings to show you guys. I want your opinion on what you guys like better:

I want a grey tone in it so that I can add another type of shadow. But I find that the black and white reads so much clearer and seems so much more interesting. The grey's mellow out the harshness of the blacks.

Hey everyone! So, it's been a very, very, incredibly long time since I have updated this blog. For those that care, I am terribly sorry. Life's been busy, you know? With all the stresses of life, building portfolios, being rejected from opportunities, becoming jobless... life can be a stressful bloody nightmare. But I stand strong. I have been working on a project that I am really excited for that i plan to pitch to a video game company one of these days, so i'm building a design portfolio based off of the idea. Right now, I am making it into a graphic novel (or at least thats the plan.) I have mentioned the punk wasteland before, so here is a drawing for it. It is my first pass at a cover for the first book.

I will keep you informed on the progression of tis project. I hope you guys like what you see, Until next time...
